It's the third day of our World Mental Health Day campaign, ahead of Friday. Today we are looking at the importance of community, sharing stories and how this is a key part of maintaining positive mental health.
Being part of a community can make life feel more meaningful and enjoyable, help us feel happier and safer, and improve our mental health. Critically, it removes the feeling that you are alone and that burdens can be shared and lessened.
Yet sometimes, although we're all part of communities, we don't always realise the benefits for our mental health!
Here's a few ways engaging with your community can help:
Reduce Isolation
Build Support Networks
Boost Self Esteem
Encourage Healthy Habits
