    Stress Awareness Month

    This week I want to share with you some more helpful tips and tricks for managing stress and share some incredible FREE resources.

    Stress affects each person differently whether it manifests physically, emotionally or in our behaviour you can read more about this here:  How Stress Affects Us 

    As you may know the theme for this year is #LittlebyLittle , by taking small positive actions this can make a big difference to our stress levels. 

    Some examples of small positive actions are

    - practicing mindfulness

    - prioritising sleep

    - connecting with someone 

    The NHS Better Health Every Mind Matters offer a resource called the Mind Plan, where you can answer 5 short questions and get your free personalised action plan with tips and advice to help you look after your wellbeing.

    Next Term At The Recovery College, we will be running a course called 'Introduction to Mindfulness' Mindfulness training helps people to become more aware of their thoughts, feelings, and body sensations, so that instead of being overwhelmed by them, they are better able to manage them.
