Men's Health Week: Day 4 - The Toolkit

Men's Health Week Day 4 - The Toolkit

It's Day 4 of Men's Health Week and today we are talking all things TOOLKIT!

We will briefly explore how you can gather tools for helping with your physical and mental health. Create your own bespoke self help package that will help make a better you.

    Try one of these:

    • Daily Check-In: Take 2 minutes each morning or evening to ask yourself: How am I feeling today? Label the emotion, no judgment.
    • Digital Detox: Set 1–2 phone-free hours a day.
    • Try deep breathing (e.g., box breathing: 4s in, hold 4s, 4s out, hold 4s). A more in depth breathing technique guide can be found here.
    • Journaling or cold showers also help reset the nervous system

    Let's Get Physical:

    • Move daily - walk for 30 mins
    • Sleep Like It's a Job! 7–9 hours/night. Go to bed and wake up at the same time daily.
    • Eat Real Food! Build plates with: protein + veg + healthy fat + complex carbs.
    • Limit ultra-processed foods and alcohol.

Last but by no means least....

Check yourself before you wreck yourself!

    • Get an Annual physical check-up
    • Blood pressure, cholesterol, testosterone, and mental health screening

These are easy and practical solutions to small problems. If left long enough, these small issues start to snowball into something a bit more serious. We hope this mini toolkit helps you today and for more days to come.
