Take Action this Mental Health Awareness Week

    Mental-Health-Awareness-week

"This Mental Health Awareness Week we're asking people to join us in taking action to support good mental health. Even small actions can help us feel hopeful and less powerless. And while our individual actions matter, when we come together we are even more powerful." - Mental Health Foundation https://www.mentalhealth.org.uk/our-work/public-engagement/mental-health-awareness-week

This year the theme chosen by Mental Health Foundation is Action: For yourself, for someone else, for all of us.

"Action is not separate from awareness, it's a natural extension of it. When people find out more about mental health, when they recognise early signs of problems in themselves and others, when they know what support looks like and what they can do to maintain their mental health, they are already taking action. When greater numbers of us take action, communities of motivated people are laying the foundations for a society that prioritises good mental health. This is action at its most powerful.

This year's theme is an invitation for all of us to take that next step. Your action can be something you do for yourself, for someone else, or for all of us." You can read more about the theme of Action on Mental Health Foundation website https://www.mentalhealth.org.uk/our-work/public-engagement/mental-health-awareness-week/why-we-need-action-good-mental-health

Raising awareness is vital, but real change comes when we act!

This week we challenge you to take action for your mental health, for those around you and for the wider community you are part of.

We will be sharing tips and tricks to support this theme of Action and to raise awareness of Mental Health. Keep an eye on this blog and our social media channels!
