Yesterday was the nation's biggest mental health conversation.. Time to Talk Day!
At The Recovery College we held two sessions, one for our staff team and one for our Recovery College students. Both sessions gave an opportunity for people to catch up about their week, check in emotionally and connect.
In our student drop in we played a fun conversation starter game 'Spin the Wheel - Mental Health' this was a great way to open up and begin conversations. We spoke on 3 topics and would encourage you with whoever you interact with today to discuss these questions. It has been proven that talking openly and honestly can be the first step towards better mental health for everyone. Talking can reduce stigma and help people feel comfortable enough to seek help when they need it.
- Do you like spending time alone? If not why not?
- Who are the people that make you feel safe/What place makes you feel safe?
- Do you think it's ok to ask for help?
Or you can play this game with your friends, family or colleagues!
