    Nutrition and Hydration Week 2024

    nutrition and hydration week

This week it is Nutrition and Hydration Week!  The purpose of this week is to bring people together to create energy, focus and fun in order to highlight and educate people on the value of food and drink in maintaining health and well being in health and social care!

One of the aim's is to Reinforce, Focus and Energise!

The relationship between our diet and our mental health is complex. However, research shows a link between what we eat and how we feel.  You don't have to make big changes to your diet, but eating well can help make a difference to your mental health. (Diet and mental health | Mental Health Foundation)

At The Recovery College, We have a course called Food & Mood. Through the 5 weeks, we explore our relationship with food and discover how what we eat can affect both our physical and mental wellbeing. We look at caffeine intake, sleep, exercise groups in the local area, easy food recipes and much more!

One of our facilitator's Lisa has shared her thoughts on the benefits of the Food and Mood course, she said that taking part in the Food and Mood course would be beneficial to your overall wellbeing. You are able to learn a lot and have access to loads of resources! By eating well, staying hydrated, and exercising if you can, these are all steps towards helping you to feel better.
