Time to Talk Day is the nation's biggest mental health conversation. It's a day for friends, families, communities and workplaces to come together to talk, listen and change lives.
Time to Talk Day was launched in 2014 by Time to Change, a campaign to end mental health stigma and discrimination, which was run by Mind and Rethink Mental Illness.
It doesn't take much to show someone you're there and willing to listen. This Time to Talk Day, we encourage you to start the conversation. However you do it, make space in your day for a conversation about mental health.
If someone does confide in you, there are a number of things you could do. You can ask questions and listen, use positive body language and encourage them. Try to resist the urge to offer quick fixes to what someone is going through. Just talking can be really powerful

At The Recovery College our belief is that learning together makes us stronger and supports our recovery. We use a framework called CHIME which we use to shape our courses.
The C in CHIME stands for Connectedness, having positive relationships and being connected with other people in a positive way. There are many ways you can be connected through human connection to family or friends, our pets, community groups. You may feel connected to a place, or to a piece of music.
