    What's on in the Black Country - LGBT+ History Month 2025

    February is LGBT+ History Month. 

    The theme for 2025 is Activism and Social Change, one approach to Activism is attending events in support of LGBT+ communities. There are many events going on across the Black Country and Birmingham to raise awareness and provide support this month.  Keep reading to learn more!

    Birmingham LGBT events cover a variety of topics such as self-care, Substance Recovery, a film club and much more.

    Another tool that can be used is Eventbrite where you can find different events on your chosen subject. There is a mixture of events that are free or need a ticket purchase.

    Wolverhampton LGBT are hosting a series of events such as Yoga, Crafts, Games and a walking group. These are fun and inclusive groups to help everyone feel supported. https://wolverhamptonlgbt.org/events/

    At The Recovery College, we have a great Recover Together LGBTQ+ group as part of our connecting pathway where we meet and learn about things close to the hearts of the LGBTQ+ community.

    The Recovery College is an educational learning environment for people who have an interest in, or personal difficulties with, mental health.

    All of our sessions are created with people who have lived experience of challenges with their own mental health along with carers and healthcare professionals.

    You do not need any formal qualifications or experience to attend the college. All of our courses are free of charge and open to anyone, aged 18 and over.
