    Loneliness Awareness Week

    Loneliness-Awareness-Month-Presentation

Loneliness Awareness Week is a campaign dedicated to raising awareness of loneliness. This year's theme, is all about reducing the stigma around this natural human emotion.

    So, What is Loneliness?

Loneliness is a natural human emotion.

We're biologically wired for social contact, and loneliness is our signal that we need more.

Definition: Loneliness is a perceived mismatch between the quality or quantity of social connections that a person has and what they would like to have.

Loneliness isn't a mental health problem. However if left unchecked, loneliness can start to affect our mental and physical health, but it's important to know that, first and foremost, it's a normal and natural feeling.

This year Loneliness Awareness Week takes place from 9th-15th June you can learn more about the origin of the week here:

Throughout the week we will be speaking about Loneliness and the impact it can have Lets Meet Loneliness Together and aim to reduce the stigma around loneliness and connect with others ❤
