Over the month of February, The team at The Recovery College have been celebrating LGBTQ+ History month, Let's look back at some of the moments from the past month!

The theme this year is #Underthescope. The 2024 theme celebrates LGBT+ peoples' contribution to the field of Medicine and Healthcare both historically and today.

In the world of sport, there was the announcement of a new official Match Ball Rainbow Ball which was used at 72 football clubs across Sky Bet Championship, League One and League Two. The Rainbow Ball symbolised that football is for everyone and representing the League's active support for inclusion throughout the game.

At the Recovery College we have an LGBTQ+ Support Group and it was great to hear from Xander one of our students who gave us this awesome quote!

To be who you are 

And how you need to be.'

The LGBTQ Support Group is a 10 week course where we connect and learn about things close to the hearts of the LGBTQ+ community.
