Today is National Coming Out Day, celebrated every year on the 11th October. To celebrate being unique and true to yourself. Raising visibility of the LGBTQ+ community an showing that every experience of coming out in the LGBTQ+ community is different an not all the same. Supporting each other whilst acknowledging the difficulties of coming out, an some who may not be ready. National Coming Out Day was first celebrated in 1988 to commemorate a year anniversary of the National March in Washington for Lesbian and Gay Rights in 1987.
