    2024 at The Recovery College

    At The Recovery College it is important to celebrate our successes, big or small. The month of January is often used as a time to reflect on the year that has passed whilst looking to the future and creating new goals to help us move forwards. As we move into a New Year and New Term at The Recovery College, we reflect on our successes from 2024 and look to the future with excitement for what is to come. 

    Here are just a few highlights from 2024..

    • We delivered over 2000 sessions Face to Face and Online! 
    • We embarked on over 100 Health Walks across the Black Country
    • Our Learning Support Team has grown with 4 new people joining Sarah and Juwayriya
    • Our Marketing Team attended 72 events! Including BCHFT Staff Trust Inductions, Recovery College Connect where we talked to RC's across the UK and 8 Open Days
    • Our LGBTQ+ Group hosted their own online Pride Celebration with the support of facilitators Neil and Charlotte
    • The co-production of many new courses such as Basic Art, Moving Forward and Creative Writing 2
    • We visited two faith centres with the Spiritual Care Team
    • We welcomed new volunteers to the college
    • Lots of students visited our Recovery College bases in person for the very first time, This is a massive achievement!

    We can't wait to start our new term, see our returning students and welcome new students to the college.

    The Recovery College is an educational learning environment for people who have an interest in, or personal difficulties with, mental health.

    All of our sessions are created with people who have lived experience of challenges with their own mental health along with carers and healthcare professionals.

    You do not need any formal qualifications or experience to attend the college. All of our courses are free of charge and open to anyone, aged 18 and over.
