Together, let's #AccelerateAction for gender equality!
International Women's Day gives us the opportunity to celebrate all the women in our lives - your mum, sister, daughter, friend, colleague - the list goes on! It is a day to celebrate the achievements of women throughout history and inspire future generations.
At The Recovery College we want to celebrate our female staff, volunteers and students who each make up an important part of the college. They all contribute so much and help make The Recovery College shine!
This year the theme is Accelerate Action! So.. How can we Accelerate Action for Gender Equality?
We can show our support to organisations that are leading the way for gender equality. As individuals, we can all take steps in our daily lives to positively impact women's advancement. We can call out stereotypes, challenge discrimination, question bias, celebrate women's success, and so much more. Additionally, sharing our knowledge and encouragement with others is key.
The theme emphasizes the importance of taking swift and decisive steps to achieve gender equality. It calls for increased momentum and urgency in addressing the systemic barriers and biases that women face, both in personal and professional spheres.
Significant barriers to gender equality remain, yet with the right action and support, positive progress can be made for women everywhere.
At The Recovery College we have a course entitled Women's Wellbeing, this is a safe and inclusive space where we research and identify women who helped shape the world. Discuss how to have healthy relationships and create affirmations to help challenge negative thinking. We also discuss the women who inspire us and so much more. If you would be interested in our Women's Wellbeing course please get in touch with us by email:
