At The Recovery College we work within a framework called CHIME.* Working within a framework ensures we bring the principles of recovery to the learning environment and the effectiveness of what we do can be measured. These five areas contribute to personal recovery.

Connectedness
Connectedness is.... Having positive relationships and being connected with other people in a positive way.
Hope and Optimism
Hope is... That recovery is possible, motivation to change, positive thinking, valuing success, having dreams and aspirations.
Identity
Identity is... Regaining a positive self and identity – not a person with mental ill health.
Meaning and Purpose
Meaning and Purpose is... Living a meaningful and purposeful life, living life, having real things to do, places to go, goals to achieve.
Empowerment
Empowerment is... Having control over your life, focusing on strengths, making decisions, taking personal responsibility.
