September has been a busy month for us at The Recovery College!

The Autumn Term is now in full swing, with courses having started on the 16th of September. It's been wonderful to see so many students joining us in person at our various locations, as well as those attending online!

There is still some availability for our courses, and we have taster sessions coming up. If you're interested in joining the college, you can complete this form: https://www.therecoverycollege.co.uk/get-in-touch

Our staff team is growing! We've welcomed six new members: Luke, Freya, Anita, Lewis, Dhiren, and Julian, who have joined our Learning Support and Facilitator teams.

We have attended lots of events across the Black Country, Lauren and Charlotte attended the World Suicide Prevention Event in Queen Square, Wolverhampton. It was a fantastic event featuring an art exhibition and many stalls promoting services available to the Wolverhampton community.

From 23rd to 29th September, we also observed Black Maternal Mental Health Week UK, which is dedicated to raising awareness about the mental health challenges faced by Black mothers.

As we move into October and the heart of the Autumn season, we look forward to raising awareness for Black History Month and celebrating World Mental Health Day on the 10th of October!

We're also hosting a series of Open Days in October. If you or someone you know is interested in joining The Recovery College, please come along to one of our informal and relaxed Open Days:

    • 4th October – Wolverhampton
    • 10th October – Dudley, DY1 Community Centre
    • 21st October – Sandwell, Quayside House
    • 28th October – Walsall

We look forward to seeing you there!
