Here at the Recovery College we are super proud of our hard working team, and we want to celebrate them and help you learn more about what we do.
What is your job role and what subjects do you cover?
I am Digital Officer at the Recovery College, covering all things marketing: including the Recovery College's presence on Facebook, YouTube and Instagram. I take care of the Recovery College website, our Digital Inclusion project: helping students who are digitally excluded, and attend huge amounts of events around the Black Country with my amazing assistant Lauren. To say my job is varied is an understatement!
Name something you love about working at The Recovery College
I feel very lucky to be able to meet so many people, both within the Trust and the public as part of my role. I just love talking to people about the Recovery College and how our courses can help build self - confidence, create new friendships and pave the way to a fuller sense of self. I have learned so much about myself in this role, and feel part of a team that daily goes above and beyond in order to best serve its students. It's pure magic.
What's next?
We have just launched our Instagram page, which is allowing us to diversify our audience and test out fresh means of communication, including Reels and shorts. We are going to be interviewing more students and staff to build the rich story that is the Recovery College, and adding these to our YouTube page. I'm really pleased with the work we have put into this – as it gives an authentic voice to the students, past and present whose lives have been changed for the better.

Beyond this there is a sea of events, so with luck I may meet you at one!
