Stress Awareness Month #LeadwithLove

It's Stress Awareness Month, observed every April since 1992, dedicated to increasing public awareness about the causes and cures of stress. The Stress Management Society's mission is to help individuals and organisations recognise and reduce stress, fostering a happier, healthier, and more resilient world.

The theme for 2025 is #LeadWithLove. It is a powerful call to action rooted in the principles of Unconditional Positive Regard. This theme encourages us to approach ourselves and others with kindness, compassion, and acceptance, no matter the challenges we face.  In today's world, where stress often thrives love is the universal force capable of shifting the narrative. By choosing love as our starting point, we embrace empathy, prioritize understanding, and can create positive change in every interaction.

During April we will be digging into the topic of Stress and how we can manage our stress levels through staff sharing their experience and resources that can help. The Recovery College is an educational learning environment for people who have an interest in, or personal difficulties with, mental health.

All of our sessions are created with people who have lived experience of challenges with their own mental health along with carers and healthcare professionals.

You do not need any formal qualifications or experience to attend the college. All of our courses are free of charge and open to anyone, aged 18 and over.
