Introduction to Mindfulness
Mindfulness exercises are ways of paying attention to the present moment. Mindfulness training helps people to become more aware of their thoughts, feelings, and body sensations, so that instead of being overwhelmed by them, they are better able to manage them.
Mindfulness can be practiced by anyone. You do not need to be religious or spiritual to practice mindfulness. It has the potential to help anyone.
This is a taster session to experience some simple mindfulness exercises and see if it is something you want to explore further.
This taster session could be followed by the ‘Mindfulness and Recovery’ Course or the monthly Mindfulness Practice sessions.
Session Outcomes:
- Practising mindfulness can give more insight into emotions, boost attention and concentration, and improve relationships.
