(Four Week Course)
Planning our wellbeing is a course particularly suitable for those new to the Recovery College or embarking on a new journey of recovery.
The course encourages us to see ourselves beyond labels, exploring what we do when we feel well, how it affects us, and how to carry these positive practices into times when we don't feel our best. You’ll be able to chat to others in a supportive group and be introduced to several useful evidence based tools that will help you as you actively plan for your own wellbeing and discover more about what recovery means and how to move forward.
Session 1: When we have faced some mental health challenges or lived through difficult times, we can lose a sense of who we really are and what is meaningful to us. This session helps us to take a first step towards discovering or re-connecting with who we really are and casting off society’s stigma.
Session 2: In this session we will look at how we can recognise when we are well and coping strategies for self-care.
Session 3: In this session we look at staying safe, what a safety plan is, watch a video, and make our own individual plan for wellness and staying safe.
Session 4: Moving Forward. In this session we look at other courses, the CHIME framework and the Recovery Pledge.
