Along with other members of our team I want to share some of the things I keep in my stress relief toolkit. 

My main stress relief tool is Quality Time with my friends and family. This always fills my cup and allows me to recharge. In my job role I spend a lot of time online so I enjoy taking time away from my phone and catching up with a friend at a coffee shop or in the garden. 

Other things in my toolkit: 

  1. Walking
  2. Exercise 
  3. Watching my comfort shows on Netflix - I'm a big fan of Friends and also Grey's Anatomy!
  4. Music - I like listening to all sorts of genres from musical theatre to country to pop. I also play a musical instrument and it is a great way to escape the busy-ness of life and just enjoy playing music.

As Stress Awareness Month comes to a close have a think about what you keep in your toolkit and how you can use it all year round.

The Recovery College is an educational learning environment for people who have an interest in, or personal difficulties with, mental health.

All of our sessions are created with people who have lived experience of challenges with their own mental health along with carers and healthcare professionals.

You do not need any formal qualifications or experience to attend the college. All of our courses are free of charge and open to anyone, aged 18 and over.
