Did you know Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy has been found to help people who have been depressed more than twice, reducing the risk of relapsing again by 50%? Walsall Talking Therapies, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy Group is available to adult 17+ who:

  • Are registered with a GP in Walsall
  • Have experienced depression
  • Can commit to practicing mindfulness for 30 - 40 minutes each day (which can also be be broken down into smaller chunks).

The eight session course itself combines mindfulness and cognitive therapy. Mindfulness is a particular way of paying attention to the present moment, to help us be more aware of our thoughts and emotions whilst relating and looking at them in a different perspective. Staying present is not always easy when we feel stressed, but with patience and practice we can learn how to be more mindful in our every day lives.
