The RC Hub is a mental health, recovery, health and wellbeing resource library, for people living in the Black Country. It is ever-growing with new activities, leaflets, videos and other tools to help you. Continuing in our Hub Highlights series, I'm going to show you an example of what you can find in the Accessing Social activities in my community tab.

The C in CHIME* is for Connection.
Connection is having positive relationships and being connected with other people in a positive way. The Recovery College encourage students to find and explore connections whether that is within your course group , in our online community or out in your own community.

You can access all of our resources for free, download and save for later! Through this series we are shining a light on the amazing resources you can access on the Hub to help you on your recovery journey.

Each tab is broken down into 4 categories to help you find what you are looking for, Apps, Websites, Guides and Leaflets and Videos.

The most popular resource on the 'Accessing Social Activities in My Community' is -  What's On in Birmingham | Official Events Guide | Visit Birmingham On this website you can access a busy events calendar with sections for Art Exhibitions, family friendly events, sports and festivals all in Birmingham.

For the Black Country, there are website links connecting you to events in Walsall, Wolverhampton, Dudley and Sandwell.

Eventbrite is another great resource, available online or on App Store/Google Play. You can set the location you want to find an activity/event and Eventbrite will show you everything that is available. There is a mixture of free activities and activities that have a cost. Access Eventbrite - Local Events & Things to do (Apple) here.

CHIME: At the recovery college we work within a framework called CHIME. Working within a framework ensures we bring the principles of recovery to the learning environment and the effectiveness of what we do can be measured. These five areas contribute to personal recovery.
