International Womens Day 2024

It's the 8th March which means it is International Women's Day!

International Women's day gives us the opportunity to celebrate all the women in our lives - your mum, sister, daughter, friend, colleague - the list goes on! It is a day to celebrate the achievements of women throughout history and inspire future generations.

At The Recovery College we want to celebrate our female staff, volunteers and students who each make up an important part of the college.

The campaign theme for International Women's Day 2024 is Inspire Inclusion.

When we inspire others to understand and value women's inclusion, we forge a better world. And when women themselves are inspired to be included, there's a sense of belonging, relevance, and empowerment. (IWD: International Women's Day 2024 campaign theme is 'Inspire Inclusion' (internationalwomensday.com))

This theme calls for action to break down barriers, challenge stereotypes, and create environments where all women are valued and respected. (Source: What does it mean to truly inspire inclusion? (internationalwomensday.com))

So, How can you inspire inclusion?

  • providing women and girls with access to quality education and training
  • elevate women and girl's participation and achievement in sport
  • promote creative and artistic talent of women and girls
