Here are some autumnal photos our facilitator's Jon and Dawn have took from our Wolverhampton and Dudley health walks with our students.

Our health walks are great for your mental wellbeing and research shows that being active in nature has bunch of benefits for your health by reducing stress, anxiety, fatigue as well as sleep quality and mood. Physically active people have up to a 30% reduced risk of becoming depressed, and staying active helps those who are depressed recover. In older people, staying active can improve cognitive function, memory, attention and processing speed, and reduce the risk of cognitive decline and dementia.

At the Recovery College our health walks run weekly in areas of Wolverhampton, Walsall, Sandwell and Dudley throughout each term. The walks are open to everyone and are a great way to meet new people and make friends along the way, whilst seeing the changing of the seasons that nature brings.

(Our next enrolment for courses is January 2024)
