Liane is one of our Deputy Principal's here at The Recovery College and this is how she finds #MomentsforMovement.
"Three months ago, I joined a get back to netball league taster session. I hadn't played since school and when I arrived I didn't know anyone. I was really nervous!
We play every week. It's helped to build my confidence in moving since having an injury last year.
They're such a lovely and supportive group of women and I get a real sense of belonging from being in their team.
I look forward to playing each week, it doesn't feel like exercise at all and my fitness has improved too."
Although Mental Health Awareness Week comes to an end on Sunday, we encourage you to continue to find Moments for Movement. If you keep finding those moments, it will help you to establish a routine and that will in time benefit your mental health.
Make sure to check out the Mental Health Foundation Website for more encouragement and tips for getting started. Boost your mental health by moving more | Mental Health Foundation
