June being pride month we celebrated the work of LGBTQ+ community and the 50th anniversary to the first pride march in the UK. Whilst raising awareness, acceptance and educating of the history on the LGBTQ+ community; we also held a virtual recovery together pride celebration on 22nd June to mark the 50th anniversary.  

MP Shaun Bailey Visit to Neptune Health Park πŸŒΌπŸŒ³


MP Shaun Bailey visited the Neptune Health Park earlier this month. Neptune Health Park is an area for our students to connect with and be at one with nature, but also how it can be great for your mental and physical wellbeing. Whilst helping the team with planting Shaun talked to our friendly team about the support and service we are providing here at The Recovery College.  

National Carer's Week 


On the 6th – 12th June it was 'National Carers Week'. National Carers week is to raise awareness of caring, an highlighting the challenges unpaid carers face and recognise the contributions they make to our families and communities. To help raise awareness of people who don't think of themselves of having caring responsibilities to be identified as a carer. It also helps carers to discover different support/services that are available to them. Our team visited Sandwell carer's celebration at Sandwell Carers Mental Health building on Bristnall Hall Rd, Oldbury. Where we talked to other carers about the support and service that is provided here at The Recovery College.  


🌻 Gardening in Dudley & Walsall πŸŒ»


With The Recovery College now branching out into Dudley and Walsall we have now started our Dudley and Walsall Gardening Groups. So whether you have an interest in gardening or have no experience at all, just come along and discover how caring for nature can have a positive effect on your mental and physically health. The Upcoming Hospital Drop-in's πŸ₯


In the upcoming term our team will also be doing drop-in's to your local hospitals to raise awareness of what The Recovery College service does and support that we offer. This will also give the opportunity for you to speak to our team with any questions or queries you may have, so keep an eye on our socials and be sure pop in have chat with our team.
