Here at the Recovery College we are super proud of our hard working team, and we feel that it's time to celebrate them, and put some names to faces.

Meet Sarah, one of our Learning Support Assistants!

Describe your job role here at the college

My role is Learning Support Assistant in the college. I co-deliver courses with the facilitators, deliver LSA workshops on topics like Identity and Personal Recovery.  I support students on their journey through the college, helping them overcome barriers to learning.

What do you enjoy about your role?

I enjoy all aspects of my role, especially delivery of courses and workshops, as we all learn together and I love to see people reaching their learning goals and making brilliant progress on their recovery journey. It gives me a lot of joy when I see how the college makes such a difference in people's lives.

What are you looking forward to this term?

This term, I'm looking forward to delivering more workshops and courses, co-producing more new student workshops and calling students before courses, as I feel this can really help people feel welcome in the college and encourage them to attend sessions.

Thank you Sarah for taking the time to answer these questions. This is a great insight to how Learning Support Assistants can support you as a student on your journey with us at The Recovery College.

We hope you find this Day in the Life series helpful, Let us know who you want to hear from next!
