Men Walking and Talking run mental health walks, with the aim of bringing men together in a safe space to end the stigma around mens mental health by supporting each other.

You can join one of 30+ walking groups

Walsall Winter Holiday Children's Activities

HAF is a free programme for children and young people. It runs over Easter, Summer and Christmas school holidays. Your child is eligible if they are:

aged 5 to 16
eligible for benefit-related free school meals

Programme aims

We want children who attend this provision to:

eat healthily over the school holidays
be active during the school holidays - take part in activities which support their development and wider educational attainment
be safe and not to be socially isolated
have a greater knowledge of health and nutrition
be more engaged with school and other local services

We also want to ensure that the families who take part in this programme:

develop their understanding of nutrition and food budgeting
are signposted towards other information and support, for example, health, employment, and education

Whatever the weather, there is always a warm welcome waiting for you at one of the many coffee mornings, friendship groups of Places of Welcome groups that meet across the centres within the Walsall Community Network. These are run at various times and on different days at each centre but all are free to attend and offer the opportunity to meet new people, make new friends and help combat loneliness whatever your age.

The Stan Ball Centre is open to the public Monday – Friday 9 am – 5 pm. This beautiful purpose-built canal-side location, boasts a range of activity, meeting and craft rooms, a 5 star Food Hygiene rated Bistro open to the public and two bespoke care hubs. The Centre offers a wide range of services, activities and leisure opportunities for all adults.

Independent adults can join in a range of social and learning activities and enjoy many offsite trips outside our local community.

For adults looking for friendship and a bit of fun we run daily coffee mornings and lunch clubs. If you don’t feel you have the confidence to join others our Making Connections Social Connector can meet you in your own home, build your confidence and support you with the transition into community activities.

For adults requiring care and support, including those with learning disabilities and dementia, we provide our bespoke care provision led by a qualified care team.

The Bonded Warehouse

After a long and chequered history, The Bonded Warehouse is now a building serving the community for a wide range of functions and is available for hire for Wedding Receptions, Birthday Parties, Corporate Training and Evening Activity Clubs. The 3 storey Warehouse with its unusual semi circular end, and with the earliest parts of the building dating from 1799 is situated in a lovely setting alongside the Stourbridge Town Arm Canal where a number of narrowboats are permanently moored. Hirers please note there is no wheelchair access to the upper floors. Also the road is cobbled and therefore uneven, making access troublesome for wheel chair users and people with walking difficulties.
